Taxing Situation

I love springtime. I can't stand that it also means tax time. In the middle of doing taxes...which I can totally do without. Oh well. Hopefully next year I'll be paying someone to deal with the headache for me.

Why?

I've had people ask me why I'm doing what I am with trying to build a company that requires nothing but "swinging for the fences" in such a tough economy.

One answer could be this. Less competition. Everybody and their brother is going to be out asking for money in a good, strong economy. If you do it when most people are going to largely see this as the worst time to go out asking for the kind of money we're asking for - - - there will be far fewer people we have to compete with for investor attention.

Plus, if God calls you to do something with your life, and you know what that is, then that big effort starts when you get that calling...not "when the stars align" for you.

Even if I fail miserably at "going for it," at least I went for it. Most people never will. I'll never get these amazing projects off the ground sitting around a coffeehouse talking about it.
